Blackstone is excited to present this very exciting debut solo exhibition by Newcastle based artist and rising figure Jessica Gilbert! Gilbert is a Newcastle Art Space studio artist and has exhibited in various galleries, groups shows and prize selections over the past few years.

Come and see a stunning display of original impressionistic paintings depicting the inner world of Gilbert and her cats.

Jessica Gilbert! Is ready to debut solo style and we are so excited to be the gallery presenting her first show: ‘SPINSTER WITH CATS’ (‘tales from my apartment’) @jessica.gilbert.art is a much loved and active member of the Newcastle art scene and needs no introduction. Or to let you know she likes cats. Or that she is a very talented and stylistic painter who draws you in to intimate everyday moments, unhinged and unaffected in their depictions. Currently Gilbert is paired with artist @drink_water_james as part of the mentor and mentee program at @newcastleartspace and we look forward to seeing what this time in the studio brings us this coming July.
